Plein Air Painting Palo Verde with Jessica Schiffman

This 2 or 3-day class. All skill levels are welcome. The Palo Verde tree is surely “Borrego’s tree”, with its distinctive green bark, elegant branches, and a canopy of yellow flowers that splash across the desert sky and carpet the ground in gold during April of each year. What a perfect time to take a Plein Air class while the town turns yellow! Plein Air painting with oil with talented Jessica Schiffman! Jessica will take the students to a beautiful location in Borrego Springs and paint two or more landscape paintings in this 2 or 3-day class. (you can sign up for a day day class or extend it to three day's) Teaching through demonstrations and explaining the steps of the system she uses. Emphasis is on composition, shadow patterns, contrast, color intensity, color temperature, painting alla prima (wet into wet), and perspective, creating the illusion of depth. There will be plenty of Individual instruction and some group critiques in an informal and supportive atmosphere.
