About Us

Basic Assistance to Students In the Community (BASIC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit empowering Borrego Springs youth and families at critical moments in their educational journey—from cradle to graduation.

Through our Cradle-to-Graduation (C2G) program, we provide:

* Early literacy via Dolly Parton's Imagination Library and Latino Family Literacy Project

* TK Academy for preschool readiness

* Summer Learning Academy (grades 2-8) to boost students who've fallen behind

* Scholarships and mentorship for high school/postsecondary success

We help Borrego students realize their dreams, one critical juncture at a time.
