About Us
The American Legion was chartered by Congress in 1919. Borrego Springs Post 853 began service in 1998. As a nonprofit organization, all funds are dedicated to programs and support for veterans, their families and community.
?Finances are raised through donations, fundraisers, membership dues, and ongoing activities, including the Bargain Barn. When you attend a fundraiser, such as Wednesday night burgers or various dinners, the meal and hospitality are provided 100% by volunteers.
The Bargain Barn Thrift Shop is located off Christmas Circle and carries an eclectic assortment of ever-changing treasures in a fun & friendly atmosphere.
