KIDSART Watercolor Collage Card Workshop with Jeni Bate
This is a fun workshop where you create your own watercolor collage greeting cards using leftover pieces from Jeni Bate’s Refractured Watercolors. You will be able to create unique greeting cards for any occasion: holiday, birthday, anniversary, any special celebration. This workshop is for anyone who has or (hopes to find in themselves) a little bit of imagination and would like to have fun trying this different form of collage. You will go home with as many watercolor collages or greeting cards as you can complete in a few hours. It possible you may complete one 3×5, one 14×11 or similar, and perhaps two or three cards. Many students get lost in the fun and lose track of time! Also, students need to be old enough to be left alone with glue and scissors. What students need to bring If possible, wear clothes that you won’t cry if you get glue on them…though I do have a few smocks to share. What you will learn I’ll spend a few minutes on composition and bringing together different pieces to create a more cohesive whole. All the things I learned from mistakes I made when I first started working in this method: Filling the area to cover the entire unmatted location. Marking up piece position so that you glue your design back the way you had it. Gluing tips
