FREE KidsArt Saturday Classes in April and May Saturday, April 9 & 16 Saturday, May 14 & 21 1-3pm at the old library, FREE, registration required. APRIL PROGRAM THEME: It’s Snowing Palo Verde! Paper Collage April 9 & 16 1-3pm Our Palo Verde trees around the Village of Borrego Springs create snowy blizzards of yellow Palo Verde flowers when the breezes pick up. Students will have the opportunity to express their experiences with And the beauty of our “greenstick” friends while learning colored paper collage techniques to create light and shadow. Scissors, paper and lots of glue (who could say no to that?) MAY PROGRAM THEME: Tie Up Weaving KidsArt! May 14 and May 21, 1-3pm The month of May will “Tie Up KidsArt” for the year with some experiences with weaving. From “weaving” fiber through burlap to lessons on how to weave on simple looms made from household items, students will gain an understanding of one of mankind’s oldest art forms.
