DESCRIPTION:The Circle of Art is BASIC's oldest major fundraising event. It began in 1989 & the first two Circle of Art events were held in conjunction with the Borrego Springs Grapefruit Festival.  In 1992 the first "Print of the Year" was produced and in 1993 the Circle of Art became a singular stand alone event drawing upon the beauty of the Anza-Borrego Desert in the Spring. Every year in March\, Borrego Springs is host to the Circle of Art at Christmas Circle Park in the heart of the village.   This fine arts show is FREE to the public and features approximately seventy artists.  All proceeds from the Circle of Art go towards BASIC's educational projects and scholarships for the residents of the Borrego Springs Community.
